AYDIN - "Heeled Efe" (Efe were the leaders of irregular soldiers from the Aegea during the Independence War) called Mayor of Aydın Metropolitan Municipality, Özlem Çerçioğlu, has displayed her sense of motherhood about the recent events, via province-wide billboards. At the request of Mayor Özlem Çerçioğlu, who is a mother of two sons, "In Peace Sons Bury Their Mothers, In War Mothers Bury Their Sons" and "One Should Start Peace, As One Has Started The War" written posters were hanged on the billboards all over the city. This act of Mayor Çerçioğlu gained great interest from the mothers and women living in Aydın.
