Arif Arslan / Batman, June 7 (DHA) - Former village head Mehmet Alcu, 76, cast his vote in the ballot, which was then transferred to the nearby village of Yakıtlı due to security concerns, while the ballot was closed.
Alcu said his wife, Hame Alcu, 75, was in hospital and she wasn’t able to vote. A total of 14 out of total 16 registered electorates in the village were living in Germany, said Alcu.
“My wife Hame is in hospital. The only person who will vote in this ballot is me. Our ballot was transferred to Yakıtlı village for security reasons. I have used my vote in another village after many years” he added.
