Aircraft crashes in Syria near Turkish border

HATAY - A plane has crashed over Latakia's Yamadi village where mostly Turkmens reside, near the Syria-Turkish border, according to Turkmen sources in the front. Witnesses added the plane has crashed over the tents built in the village and pilots have landed with aid of parachutes. While the claims have not been confirmed with multiple sources, Doğan News Agency reporters said smoke has been rising from the region. Turkish jets downed the fighter jet due to border breach, CNN Türk reported.
